China Digital Interface Industry Alliance Established in China
August 04, 2006
At the end of July the CDIA (China Digital Interface Industry Alliance) was established in China. This new alliance is backed by China's Ministry of Information Industry and the CVIA (China Video Industry Association), and is aimed at bringing together both up- and downstream companies involved in digital interfaces, including chip suppliers, consumer electronics product vendors, and content providers. The establishment of the CDIA follows recent news that the CVIA has agreed to support the HDMI technology.
